Rina and I caught a ride with Aix as she headed to her class in Ortigas and uses MegaMall to park her car at. Rina and I went through the SM mall doing some window shopping before heading to St. Francis to see the items they have there. It was a major letdown as I've been raving about that place to Rina as comparable to sometime even better than that of Greenhills. We got home immediately after that empty handed as there was a planned dinner and an LFS (last full show) of "The Dark Shadows" at Rockwell.

We left the house 8-ish in a cab with Gab for
Kapitolyo to have dinner with Anthony and Eia at Bok Bok's Inasal - we passed by Three Sisters and pointed it out to Rina as a favorite barbecue place we used to go to when we were yourng. We arrived at the resto and ordered hors d'oeuvre comprising of fried chicken skin and
chicharon bulaklak. Main dish were
liempo, pork barbecue
and chicken
inasal - the house specialty, it was a very good and filling dinner. Being a Friday night - we decided to hit the
tiangge at Pasig market instead. Aix and Denise headed on home with
mang Moises and we convoyed towards the market as this will be a first for Anthony and
Pasiguena Eia.
Parking at the market is filling up fast as shoppers are showing up this late at night to beat the following day's official
tiangge-time. This is my first experience shopping here at this time as we usually do it early Saturday morning back when I was in college, and this is much better as it is cooler and a tad less noisy (the place gets to be loud when you have all three levels in full market mode). The third level was teeming with people - it was like a morning
tiangge sans the sun and the heat. Gab and Roselle went their opposite ways to try and cover more ground while the four of us waded through the crowd with eyes wide open and gaping mouths - amazed at the variety of items at heavily discounted prices!
I told Rina that this is like a mini version of Divisoria as she hasn't been there yet. Rina saw a bag and bagged it fast with a matching purse as part of the deal we had with the saleslady. I got two pairs of Sandugo sandals for Rina & I and a pair of shades for my everyday use.
We wrapped up around 11:30pm as Eia still has to be dropped off in Ortigas to get her car. But she sure was excited at their new discovery and disappointed at the same time of just learning about this place even though she grew up at this town! I bet they will be coming back for more in the very near future.

We got home close to midnight and Rina and I just lounged in the living room watching AFC's Weird Food of the World where the Philippines'
balot got featured in it - Rina got grossed out when they showed the duck egg embryo in varying stages, now I'm not sure if she's up to trying one out as she promised before this trip. Aix came downstairs and watched the show with us, by this time another food program is on and we started craving for something sweet, something ice-creamy. So we decided to head on to Mercato for their popular chilled treats - this was 1:45am. The place was blaring with a live band playing slow rock music and tables and chairs setup in the perimeter of the main dining tent to accommodate more patrons just arriving from their night of clubbing or maybe just like us - midnight snack/food craving.
The ice cream place, at 2am, had people still queuing up for their fare - Aix went and asked an available saleslady for sample tasting and tried out their products along with Rina and Denise, I on the other hand - trying not to crowd up the place, went to the next stall and chatted up with their grill master and ordered a couple of frankfurters - they were the best tasting franks I've had so far, and the home made buns made it more delicious! We wrapped up the evening by downing a glass of
gulaman each.
