Dragged myself off the bed 8am so I can get ready to commute to Malabon, I texted ate Carol at her work and gave her my ETA of noonish and told her that I will be commuting. She called to advise that I take the MRT instead and started giving instructions over the phone - it sounded complicated so I told her I'll just do what we used to do back in the days and get off Ever-Gotesco - she laughed and told me to get dropped off at "Cosmos" or "Petron" as that place burned a couple of months ago. Got out of the house 10am and caught an airconditioned Malanday-bound bus - what a mistake! The ride took over 2 hours, and I overshot their street by about 3 blocks as I was looking for a "Petron" gas station when it's supposed to be "Shell". I went inside 7-11 and got picked up by ate Carol, from there we went to SM Venenzuela for merienda. We headed back to their place and while en route the skies opened up and bailed pails of water (buckets) - we took a short tricycle ride and I met up with the Agustin siblings and tito Cario. My camera fogged up due to humidity so I was not able to take pictures. I saw tita Caring's urn and said a little prayer.
We said our goodbyes for now and promised to be back with Rina. I took their suggested route of riding the MRT and I got home in about 45 minutes - WOW!
Moral of the day - "Listen to your elders" - sorry ate Carol for not heeding your advice earlier of taking the MRT to Malabon.
