Day 6

Rina and I went our separate ways today - she got picked up by her auntie Vangie while I headed to pick up Riel with mang Moises and got dropped off at GSC (Greenhills Shopping Center).  The plan was to meet up 6-7ish and do dinner at a buffet place called Dads.

Mang Moises, Lara and I got the car filled with items they need to bring to their canteen at CATS.  We went to pick Riel up at Robinson's where he just arrived from his retreat in Puerto Galera.  GSC was teeming with shoppers specially at the bag/shoes area - you can hardly walk through that place and its in that place that I got dropped off.  I made my way through the jewelry area to get to the Holy Family Chapel for a visit.

I took the escalator up and ended up in the midst of electronic and software heaven!  Just browse through to get an idea of whats trending and their price range - a lot of up and coming stuff, a definite return is a must!  I found a money changing stall that has Rina's name and went in to ask for their rate - it was pretty good compared to what we were getting at SM so I got me some local monies.

I stumbled upon a food court located in the third level and they have quite a selection - and guess what I chose - goto with tokwa't baboy and coupled with gulaman I felt truly native for having that as merienda.  I could have opted for a hotdog or shawarma but it just felt right to order a lugaw.  I then went and checked out the shoes and the prices are pretty reasonable.  I also looked for a messenger bag and they have a wide selection there as well - I'll bring my tablet the next time I'll be there to make sure I'll have ample space for it and other stuff in trying them out.

I was debating whether to go to Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral in Pasig or head on home - but with the waiting for Pasig-bound FX seemingly long I decided to take an adventurous, untried way of getting home.  I got home safe and sound and finding Lara and Roselle in their afternoon siestas.

Rina started craving for a pizza while watching GGV so Aix and I started checking online and called Shakey's - but they wouldn't be able to deliver in our area as the branch serving us just closed for the day.  We then called Yellow Cab and ordered their 18" Meat Lovers - waiting time 90 minutes!  They got it delivered piping hot in 45 minutes - not bad as they came from their branch in BGC.

I'll have Rina post her adventure in Pineda...
