Eats more Pandesal in the Philippines!: Day 8

Market! Market! day today for Rina and I. We were there in the early afternoon and started a "systematic" window shopping. Started doing the shop visits on the first floor (5 level mall) and discovered stalls, kiosks and boutiques never before seen - most of them have been there for awhile. It has the feel of EDSA crossing in the 80's in the first level as there is an area there that is looking like a tiangge. Prices are comparable of that I gathered in Quiapo yesterday sans the crowd.

We found the boutique Rina's been looking for at bigger malls and shops unique to the place. There is even an outdoor food court, garden/flower area and wet market. Truly a palengke for the A & B crowd and well suited for the locale.

We had a late lunch (2:30ish pm) at Yellow Cab - Rina is still craving for their pizza and we ordered a 10" New York Finest and a carbonara dish. Aix soon joined us coming from her class and who'll be heading to her yoga class nearby in a couple of hours. It took as a while to finish lunch as it was pretty big, we keep passing the dish around to try and finish it telling ourselves that we will be burning it off anyway with all the walking we're going to be doing browsing through stores and stalls.

We stopped at Spoofs - a favorite store of ours, and got a couple of shirts. There's this place that caught our attention and has the funniest knick-knacks in the mall - I should head on back there to get 'em.

At 5pm, Riel called to ask us if were still in the area as he is doing grocery shopping for their catering tomorrow - he wanted us to stay around till 6 as he'll be meeting up with Roselle and Aix would be done with her yoga. We piled into the car 6:30pm - Aix, Rina and I in the back and mang Moises driving and Roselle on Riel's lap in the front - funny sight - funnier if we're all wearing clown suits.
